Daily Brief — Tue Sep 29, 2026

SPY's max pain, spot, flip and call wall are again crammed inside 0.3% of each other — the same razor-thin structural stack we flagged two trading sessions ago. Plus 8 names with real options flow behind them today.
Tape: tight stack, again SPY: 766.81 0.08% below its 767.43 flip Exp move: ±0.5% Bias: a small move either way changes which side of the flip SPY is actually on

1 · The one thing that matters today

as of 12:53 UTC pre-market

Four SPY levels are stacked inside a 2-point band again. Max pain is 766, spot is 766.81, the zero-gamma flip is 767.43, and the call wall is 768 — in that order, all within about 0.3% of each other. This is the same pattern we called out on Sep 25 (spot/wall/flip inside 0.21% that day), showing up again just two trading sessions later. Worth naming as a recurring read rather than a one-off: when SPY's book compresses like this, the session tends to hinge on whichever side of a very thin line price actually settles on, not on a wide structural range.

Today spot is 0.08% below the flip — as close to dead-on-the-line as a "BELOW FLIP" read gets. A five-cent move either way would flip which regime SPY is technically in. Two names on today's watchlist, META and ADBE, print no clean flip at all — a different kind of thin read, but the same theme: several of today's numbers are close to the edge of what the data can confidently say.

With max pain, spot, flip and the call wall all inside a 2-point band, the put wall at 760 is the only level today with real distance from price (−0.89%). Reclaim 767.43 and SPY is back in positive gamma with the 768 wall right behind it; stay under it and 760 is the next level that actually means something.

META 723.35 — 750 NO FLIP Three calls, all bullish, no puts — $1000C 3/19/27 (LEAPS) $504,412, $750C 10/2 $196,200 (struck right at the call wall), $717.5C 10/2 $160,800 — $861,412 combined. Real one-sided conviction, with no flip to check it against.
MU 1067.00 1072.19 1100 BELOW FLIP $1065C 10/16 — $106,585 and $1075C 10/5 — $65,150, two bullish calls across different expiries, $171,735 combined, on a name sitting just 0.48% under its own flip.
SNDK 1723.00 1895.03 1800 BELOW FLIP $1705P 10/16 — $153,920 and $1745C 10/2 — $81,320. Mixed, put nearly double the call in size — bearish-leaning flow on a name 9.1% under its own flip.
ADBE 230.01 — 252.5 NO FLIP $250P 10/16 — $202,455, already in the money (strike above spot). The largest single-side bet on today's board outside META, and no flip to read it against either.
LRCX 318.53 313.95 322.5 IN ZONE $390C 11/20 — $190,345, roughly 2 months out and well past the call wall. A longer-dated bullish bet on a name that's currently in a favorable, if modest, structure.
AMD 616.58 634.28 620 BELOW FLIP $600P 9/30 (tomorrow) — $91,080, struck almost exactly at the put wall. A near-term bearish bet consistent with AMD sitting 2.8% under its own flip.
COST 918.58 956.14 950 BELOW FLIP $835C 12/18 — $102,650, already deep in the money and about 3 months out. Bullish size on a name still 3.9% under its own flip.
RKLB 73.18 71.10 75 IN ZONE $72C 10/2 — $76,317, slightly in the money. RKLB is 2.8% above its own flip with room to the 75 wall — a clean, favorable setup for the call.
