How to read the conviction board — the score, factor by factor

We pull the hottest 0–7 DTE option contracts, aggregate them per ticker, and split into bullish and bearish tails. Each name is scored on stock relative volume (today's stock volume vs its average), options relative volume (today's option volume vs the name's own 30-day average — unusual activity), net directional premium (premium bought at the ask vs sold at the bid), price momentum (is the stock moving with the flow — % change and side of VWAP, via Polygon), its call/put volume ratio, and volume vs open interest — a read on fresh positioning versus contracts already on the books. A further factor is the golden sweep — the size of the name's largest sweep bought at the ask (aggressive, filled across exchanges). It's added as a size-scaled bonus on top of the score (so a name without one is never penalised), and a bigger ask-side sweep lifts conviction more; sweeps that open new positions count in full while closing/rolling flow is discounted, with a bump for UW golden / repeated-hit / floor prints. Every row shows its largest ask sweep, and the single largest on the board is crowned 👑. Every factor is normalised to 0–100 and blended into one number; a name whose price fights its flow scores lower. ⚡ Fresh = today's volume already exceeds standing open interest.

Dealer structure — the γ chip: flow tells you what someone is betting; it can't tell you whether the market's own hedging flow is helping or fighting that bet. So each name is also scored on the same dealer-gamma read behind our regime tracker and overnight scanner. Two factors: cushion — how far the stock sits from its zero-gamma flip, measured in units of the move the options are pricing for today. Above the flip dealers damp moves (they buy weakness, which quietly supports a long); below it they amplify them. And pull — how positive gamma mass is stacked above versus below spot, which biases where price drifts. Both are direction-aware: the structure that helps a long is the same structure that hurts a short, so each is scored against the trade's own side. A row reading γ IN ZONE is above its flip with room to the call wall; γ BELOW FLIP means dealers amplify from here; γ PAST WALL means gamma caps further upside. marks a name whose flow is fighting its own structure — a high score there deserves more scepticism than the number alone suggests. Together they're 15% of the score, enough to separate two names with identical flow without overriding the flow itself. Names we can't get a chain for simply score on the other factors — their weight is redistributed, never zeroed.

Most popular contract (members): for each name we surface the most-traded near-the-money 0–7 DTE contract on the flow's side that you can buy for under $5 (or the cheapest strike available when nothing qualifies) — a real strike, expiry and last price (call for bulls, put for bears) — plus its gain since alert. Where available we also show its live delta, IV and bid/ask (Polygon) so you can sanity-check leverage and spread. It's an educational reference — the contract the crowd is actually trading, not a trade call. Check the chain and manage your own risk.

Universe and data come from our options-flow feed and refresh through the session; a snapshot can lag or gap. The conviction score is a proprietary, educational ranking — not a recommendation, signal to buy, or financial advice. Options carry a substantial risk of loss. Trade your own plan.

What is options flow?

Options flow is the record of what size actually traded — every sweep, block and split order, with the premium behind it. A raw feed is noise: thousands of prints a day, most of them hedges, spreads or closes. This board scores each name on net premium, the call/put ratio, relative volume and IV rank, then ranks what is left. The difference between a raw feed and an options flow scanner is whether anything tells you which prints mattered.

Calls, puts and the put/call ratio

The call/put ratio on each row is premium-weighted, not contract-weighted — one $2M call sweep says more than four hundred $500 lottos. A ratio far above 1 means the money is paying up for upside; far below 1 means it is paying for protection or downside. The tag beside it says whether that positioning is fresh, stale or already extended, which is the part a bare put call ratio can never tell you.
